The Untold Story Beneath the Waves
Dive Africa is a six-part documentary series exploring Africa's diverse and breathtaking marine environments. Beginning in the towering kelp forests of South Africa's Eastern Cape, the series journeys through the coral reefs of the Seychelles and across five further African nations — highlighting marine conservation challenges, sustainable resource use, and the continent's deep cultural connection to the sea.
Produced by a proudly African team, the series examines how colonialism has shaped Africans' relationship with the ocean — and sets out to reclaim it. These are untold stories: stories that most Africans have yet to discover, told through breathtaking cinematography and authentic voices that belong to the continent.
Dive Africa is more than a documentary. It is a movement — anchored by three courageous African divers — to inspire a new generation to see themselves as innovators, leaders, and custodians of our planet's most vital ecosystems.
